This just stikes me as so like John Kerry. It's been on the radio for weeks how the Democratic National Convention is going to have this horrendous impact on Boston commuters during convention week. North Station will be closed, expressway ramps and lanes will be closed during rush hour, T stops will be restricted. Given the number of road closings, long delays are expected. Area businesses are being urged to allow their employees to use flex-time, telecommuting, staggered shifts and other measures in an effort to reduce traffic to and from the city.
One of the other measures is "snow days" in July. Commuters can pretend there's a snow storm that prevents them from going in to work. Yes, let's just step aside for the man of the people. It's not wise to get in Big John's way.
