You call this news?

Global warming labeled a 'scam', says the Washington Times.  Well, that's not exactly what I'd call news.  I've been saying that for years.  But when a British TV documentary says Global Warming is a scam, that is news.

The program titled "The Great Global Warming Scandal" and set for screening by TV Channel 4 on Thursday dismisses claims that high levels of greenhouse gases generated by human activity causes climate change. Instead, the program suggests that the sun itself is the real culprit.

The documentary, directed by filmmaker Martin Durkin, is at odds with scientific opinion as outlined in a United Nations report in February, which blames mankind for global warming.

In his program, Mr. Durkin rejects the concept of man-made climate change, calling it "a lie ... the biggest scam of modern times."

The truth, he says, is that global warming "is a multibillion-dollar worldwide industry, created by fanatically anti-industrial environmentalists, supported by scientists peddling scare stories to chase funding, and propped up by compliant politicians and the media."

Bingo!  Global Warming is a multibillion-dollar worldwide industry!  And it turns out Global Warming is taking a hit across the channel in France as well.

French Scientist has Epiphany about Global Warming
Claude Allegre, France's most revered scientist has preached that global warming has been the fault of man for over twenty years, but now he's changed his tune.

He's written an article that the snow on Kilimanjaro's peaks is retreating, but from natural causes. When asked about global warming he remarked, "The cause of this climate change is unknown."

Dr. Allegre is most concerned about the "greenhouse-gas fanatics whose proclamations consist in denouncing man's role on the climate without doing anything about it except organizing conferences and preparing protocols that become dead letters."

This is not starting out to be a very good week for Global Warmists.

Perhaps this is why there has been an unexplainable increase in the hysterics produced by the Global Warming crowd over the last several weeks. Perhaps they knew that this information was coming to light and would soon find it's way to the public and it was all a desperate PR maneuver.
