Left leaning students at Columbia University gathered to hear Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad "speak truth to power." It's quite the rage these days, speaking truth to power, particularly when that power is the Great Satan. So there they were all set to applaud the plucky little freedom fighter when he up and says,
"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country," Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said at Columbia University on Monday in response to a question about the recent execution of two gay men there.
"In Iran we do not have this phenomenon," he continued. "I do not know who has told you we have it."
I wonder how long it will take our lefty friends to reconcile that with their political world view.
I don't disagree with your remarks about Amadinajad.
I simply note that Nouri Al Maliki, who is Prime Minister of Iraq as the result of spilled American blood, was leader of al-Dawa's jihad office in Syria. And that al_Dawa bombed the U.S. embassy in Kuwait. And further that he has close alliances with both Syria and Iran.
Yet he speaks at a joint session of Congress.
Personally, I don't trust either one of them.
