Anthony

This article has no substantiated evidence to support that security has improved. Merely over zealous opinion making. I would find it humorous, if it weren't for the fact that over 100,000 civilians have died because of our involvement, that after almost 5 years this article is making the case that we are making great improvements by finally securing the area around Baghdad.

So the commanders are just now laying down the ground work for long term stability? Wouldn't that have already been done when we declared victory 6 months after the initial strike? I almost remember them saying that same thing in 2004, 2005, 2006, and then 2007. Now Dick Cheney, says we will be there indefinitely.

Get on nexis-lexis which pools over 4,000 sources on the Iraq war. I noticed your article on there sticking out like a sore thumb between countless articles merely listing the daily deaths of soldiers and civilians.

100,000 deaths. Wow, that's almost 10% of those killed by Saddam the wonderful.

Substantiated evidence here. You can only ignore things for so long, Anthony. Sorry about sticking out like a sore thumb, by the way.
