Not John McCain. As far as he's concern there's no question about it.
John McCain sits across the table from the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal, fielding questions on everything from taxes to torture to terror. He's asked what surprised him the most about the behavior House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid with regard to Iraq. His answer -- "their lack of patriotism" -- is of the characteristically impolitic kind that often defines his personality.
I've been wondering when somebody would get around to noticing that our House and Senate emperors have no clothes. Well no, that's not quite right. Roughly half the nation has noticed, I'm sure. What had not been assured was when any of the front running Republican presidential contenders would admit they too have noticed. Thank you Senator McCain. The Senator continues.
When asked whether he would tag Hillary Clinton as well with a "lack of patriotism," Mr. McCain does dial it down a notch. "Maybe 'lack of patriotism' is too harsh," he allows. "'Putting political ambitions ahead of the national interest' may be a more subtle way" of putting it. He then adds, with a chuckle, "And we all know how subtle I am."
Just how subtle comes across in expanding on Mrs. Clinton's stance on the war and on the surge. "She had that very clever line -- I don't know who wrote it for her -- that you'd have to suspend disbelief in order to believe that the surge is working. Well, you'd have to suspend disbelief that it's not now."
The gloves are off. It ought to be an exciting election year.
Yeah, Hillary didn't listen to General Petraeus and she's looking pretty stupid because of it. It's about time the biggest foreign policy issue we are invested in right now, the Iraq war, got injected into the presidential debates. I was getting pretty bored with hearing about who loves Jesus the most.

With such a big block of Christian voters, we shouldn't be all that surprised to hear Democrats have discovered Jesus. So touching that Hillary's "faith" gets her through Bill's affairs.
