It has been a dismal week for President Obama. His European tour was reported in the press as a public relations triumph, but in terms getting cooperation from our allies, he accomplished nothing, meanwhile trashing America at every turn. His response to the piracy of an American ship off the coast of Somalia has been less than forceful. It comes as small surprise that Obama has sunk to his lowest approval rating ever.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 34% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-two percent (32%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +2, his lowest total to date (see trends). Consumer and investor confidence have surged to seven-month highs as a growing number believe the economy is improving.
