I wonder if there is anybody who still believes all that election campaign nonsense about the post partisan Barack Obama uniting the country.
'Mark down the date. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, is the moment that any
chance of a new era of bipartisan respect in Washington ended. By
inviting the prosecution of Bush officials for their antiterror legal
advice, President Obama has injected a poison into our politics that he
and the country will live to regret.'
Protecting terrorists is just a red herring to distract people from the real issue: The administration is making plans to rape the American taxpayer.
Wake up people....!!!!!

While the criminalization of policy differences that could lead to civil war concerns me, I'm hoping the release of the memos and discussion of investigations was motivated by a less pernicious, though still evil purpose, namely, knocking the TEA Party movement out of the news cycle, and serving as a threat to those from the Bush administration to not speak publicly against Emperor O.

Interesting thought, but there are a couple of other reasons for the release of those memos. First, Obama just can't stop comparing himself to the Bush administration, a comparison in which he seems to think he comes off well. Second, he just can't stop himself from doing what he thinks is the popular thing. Earlier he said all that stuff was in the past, let's move on. But when reporters kept after him, he finally caved in and said well maybe we'll have some prosecutions after all, but it's up to the DOJ -- it certainly won't be his decision so don't blame Obama if they do.
He continues to remind us that every single one of his pronouncements comes with an expiration date.
