So says Froma Harrop. But apparently Harrop is as deaf as a post, because she can't hear what we're saying.
Have you voted on any of the Democratic health care reform plans? Me neither.
No such vote was ever taken. But with coordination that the Rockettes would envy, Republicans insist that "the American people have spoken" on the matter, and they want the proposals killed.
House Republican Leader John Boehner: "The American people have spoken, loudly and clearly: They do not want Washington Democrats' government takeover of health care."
Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell: "The American people do not want this bill to pass."
Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele: "The American people have spoken. The White House hasn't heard their message."
Quite a coincidence, these guys saying the same thing on the same day. No matter. What they're saying is nonsense.
Actually, Ms. Harrop, I did vote, and I voted against all of the Democrats' health care plans. I did it by contributing to the Scott Brown for Senate campaign.
How odd.
Despite the daily pleas from DSCC "explaining" to me why Republicans are bad,
with grossly omissive "reports/pleas for cash, I have never deemed it prudent to even challenge such assertions to that group. Somehow, via. educated judging of the tone and integrity in those pleas, I suspect, such "debate" would fall into the round file.(sorry, "recycling bin")
Oh well, ...keep yer enemies even CLOSER!
On the other hand, the Republican Party's official-looking "census" (consensus really)that I recieve in the mail, despite the fact that I NEVER registered as Republican*, CLEARLY asks my opinion on such matters. Granted, in a push-poll kind of way, but reading between the lines is no great trick for those with education independent of unionized "teachers" and "administrators".
I'd certainly like to see where the Dem's fabricate "Most Americans agree...", and "We're basically in agreement..." from in the "Latest polls" cited at the recent beer garden sit-down event. I guess, against ALL odds, I must live in an annecdotal pocket of resistance.
*I suspect an ASSUMPTION of Republican Party alliance, as well as my name and address, came from a sizable chunk of support I made for Gov. Benson, despite my Independent "status" on the roster at town hall.
Think it's tough removing your name and address from E-porn sites, or those Communist useful idiot Group rosters?
