We have unprecedented budget deficit and debt obligations facing America right now, that threaten our prosperity and even our national security, and we get demogoguery instead of solutions. Here is a flavor of President Obama's answer to our problems:
Worst of all, this is a vision that says even though America can’t afford to invest in education or clean energy; even though we can’t afford to care for seniors and poor children, we can somehow afford more than $1 trillion in new tax breaks for the wealthy. Think about it.
I'm thinking about it, and I'm thinking this is not a serious man. We simply don't have enough billionaires to go around. If we take all of their money it won't get us out of the hole Obama dug in just three years. We need economic growth from an expanded tax base, and Obama just wants more money for government. We need this man out of the White House. 2012 can't come fast enough.
2012 the movie is looking like a best case scenario.

I may be pessimistic, but I don't think it will be that bad. I hope not anyway.

Obama and the Democrats passed tax cuts for the rich. Did anyone notice?

Actually JT, the Democrats joined Republicans to avoid raising taxes. Taxes were not cut.
But won't it be an interesting year as the Democrats, sensing that the economy is coming around, have begun the argument once again for higher taxes -- on only the rich, of course. Right. Except that the economy does not seem to be coming around. It'll be an entertaining tap dance.
