The Boston Bruins evened the series at two games apiece with a 4-0 win over Vancouver in the Stanley Cup finals last night.
Bruins goalie Tim Thomas made 38 saves for the shutout and Rich Peverley, playing on the top line with Nathan Horton (concussion) out for the rest of the series, scored two goals to lead the Boston offense, which has outscored Vancouver 12-1 in the past two games.
The Bruins took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission on Peverley’s third goal of the playoffs. Skating with David Krecji and Milan Lucic, Peverley took a feed from Krecji and skated in on Roberto Luongo alone on the left side, firing the puck through the five-hole at 11:59.
Game 5 will be in Vancouver on Friday and game 6 in Boston Monday. Both games are at 8:00pm EDT.
