Howie Carr wonders what became of the anti-war crowd.
The anti-war movement is MIA as this war, er counterterrorism operation, begins. Back when Bush was waging war, dissent was the highest form of patriotism. Now it’s “racism.” If you speak truth to power in the Obama era, they call it hate speech. The IRS will audit you.
There are still a few principled anti-war voices out there. They're wrong, but consistent in their beliefs. What's missing is the amplifier for the peaceniks. Big media, while they seem to be showing signs of alarm at the Obama incompetence, is far from going into attack mode against him as they did to his predecessor.

I suppose you're right, PJ, but I'm not sure I'd count the media among among those principled voices. I have to confess, I have a hard time seeing any principle in what seems to be a reflexive anti-American attitude masquerading as anti-war, and I see nothing principled about abandoning the Iraqi people under the pretense "ending the war." The media have been only too happy to go along with that particular prevarication.
Nice to hear from you again.
