Could it be that the "studies" only have one significant variable?

Back when I embarked on a low-carb diet (in 1999), I read hundreds of nutritional "studies." After a while, I noticed that the ONLY significant variable common to all of the "studies" was who paid for them. That factor always determined the outcome summary, even if that summary contradicted the actual data. Which it usually did.

I suspect that particular variable is the predominant factor in *ALL* "studies" reported by the media, and not just what passes for science in the field of nutrition.

Basically, the "researchers" are looking for the answer that is sufficiently PC enough to get them more research grants -- not for what actually works.

I no longer even read news reports of "studies." They contain no useful information.
